Details

One of the many zamindar buildings in Bangladesh Karatia Zamindar Bari is one of the zamindar bari that have stood witness to its rich history. There are several zamindar bari in Tangail district, but by printing all of them, the Karatia Zamindar Bari have been taken apart in history and tradition. Wazed Ali Khan, a zamindar landlord of Atiya chad, is situated about 5 km away from the town of Tangail. This landscaped house of natural and tranquil surroundings is about 1.5 km long and has walls of 1.5 km width. There are Rokeya Mahal, Queen's pukur Ghat, Dawood Mahal and small mosque adjacent to the building, a historic architecture. The mosque has eight domes in two rows. The first row has five domes of the same size, and the middle three are larger in size than the three domes in the second row. To the east of the mosque is a 3-foot-tall tower with an old staircase. The timing of the mosque was not known. The landlord's house, mixed with Mughal and choinik architecture, will capture your mind at first sight. The main gate of the zamindar bari is currently locked and no one is allowed to enter here. So when visiting this zamindar bari , you should make sure you can get in. From the locals it is known that the zamindar house was opened to the public on two Eid days, except on the one and twelfth of the month of Bangla Baishakh.
